Today, author, blogger, wife and mum Bre?anna Emmitt from?He Won’t Know it’s Paleo ?joins us for a chat! Thanks so much for your time Bre’anna ? and huge congratulations on the publication of your first cookbook He Won?t Know it?s Paleo! It is a beautiful book with gorgeous, inspiring recipes that, as you say, ?bridges the gap between a?standard diet and the paleo Autoimmune Protocol?, and in such a delicious way! For those of you that don’t know, the name of Bre’anna’s blog came about after Bre’anna started preparing paleo meals for her husband and family – and it was 6 months before she told her husband!
This is going to be the quickest recipe ever written! I made this salad today, for our first official AIP picnic here in Sydney, and I thought it turned out so well I couldn’t wait to get it written up and on the blog! (Well that, and I didn’t want to forget what I’d put in it 😉 ) Continue Reading
Roasted or baked chicken is such a favourite of mine. It’s usually pretty cheap, it doesn’t take much for it to taste amazing and you can keep the bones to make stock! Yay!! Even If I’m not having a whole chicken (like for this recipe, where I used the super juicy thighs), I just collect together the little bones, freeze them and keep adding to my stash until I have enough to boil up for a good old bone broth. Win-ning! Continue Reading
I love making meatballs, they are so easy to batch cook and great to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And these little babies are my new favourites! Not only are they a delicious way to get extra veg into your meal, they also pack a great anti-inflammatory punch from turmeric, garlic and ginger.
I’ve been able to reintroduce raw cacao into my diet! I know – exciting!! After 5 months with no chocolate it’s been really nice to get that flavour back – plus the antioxidant hit that raw cacao gives. If you’re following the autoiummune protocol (AIP) and haven’t added raw cacao back in yet you can easily sub carob which has it’s own health benefits, including being a rich source of phosphorous and calcium. This is such a simple salad to throw together, it tastes great, looks impressive and is the perfect combination of green and gold, plus fresh Aussie produce for Australia Day! Continue Reading
What with it being Valencia orange and passionfruit season here in Australia, I thought what better way to use these delicious ingredients than to make some yummy gummies! They taste like sweets, but they’re good for you 🙂 Continue Reading
I’ve recently returned from a 2 week road trip spent visiting friends and checking out a couple of places we haven’t stopped at before – it was awesome! There’s just something about road trips that gives me a real sense of freedom – and I love that! We were also catching up with some friends who we hadn’t seen in quite a while and that’s always good fun too 🙂 Continue Reading
